We want every guest to have a great experience at Rishikesh Cooking. If your plans change, here is our cancellation and refund policy. We have kept it fair and straightforward.
Cooking Classes
Cancellation by You
- More than 24 hours before the class: Full refund, no questions asked. We understand that travel plans change.
- Less than 24 hours before the class: Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund at this stage. Fresh ingredients have already been purchased and preparation has begun for your session.
- No-show: No refund. If something urgent comes up, please message us as early as possible — we will always do our best to reschedule you.
Rescheduling
We are happy to reschedule your booking if you contact us at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability. Rescheduling is free of charge and can be done once per booking.
Cancellation by Us
In the rare event that we need to cancel a class due to illness, an emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost.
Cooking Retreat (7-Day Programme)
The retreat requires more advance planning, so our policy reflects that:
- More than 60 days before start date: Full refund minus any non-refundable booking fees charged by the payment platform
- 30 to 60 days before start date: 50% refund
- Less than 30 days before start date: No refund. You may transfer your place to another person if you arrange this with us in advance.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellation costs when booking the retreat.
How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds are returned using the same payment method used for the original booking. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the amount to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
Simply message us on WhatsApp or email as soon as you know your plans have changed. We prefer early notice so we can offer your spot to another guest.
