These Terms and Conditions apply to all cooking classes, retreats, and services offered by Rishikesh Cooking, operated by Nandini Saraswat, Tapovan, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. By booking or attending any session with us, you agree to the following terms.
1. Bookings and Payment
Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received in full, or a deposit has been agreed upon in writing (via WhatsApp or email). Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of all ingredients, equipment, recipes, and the shared meal unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time, but any confirmed booking will be honoured at the price agreed at the time of booking.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
Please refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy for full details on cancellations, rescheduling, and how refunds are processed.
3. Health, Allergies, and Dietary Requirements
All our classes and menus are 100% vegetarian. It is your responsibility to inform us of any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, but we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment as our kitchen handles a wide range of ingredients.
If you have a severe allergy (such as anaphylaxis), please discuss this with us before booking so we can assess whether we can safely accommodate you.
4. Health and Fitness
Our cooking classes are suitable for all fitness levels. However, if you have a condition that affects your ability to stand, handle kitchen equipment, or be in a warm kitchen environment, please let us know in advance. For the retreat, some activities (such as river rafting) carry inherent physical risks and are undertaken at your own discretion.
By attending, you confirm that you are in good health and fit to participate in the activities scheduled.
5. Safety in the Kitchen
You agree to follow all safety instructions given by your instructor during the class. Working with sharp knives, hot surfaces, and open flames carries inherent risks. Rishikesh Cooking and Nandini Saraswat are not liable for any injury resulting from a failure to follow safety instructions.
Children are welcome but must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
6. Photography and Video
You are welcome to take photos and short videos for personal use during the class. Please ask before photographing other guests or your host. If you share photos publicly, a credit or tag to Rishikesh Cooking is appreciated but not required.
We may occasionally photograph or film classes for use on our website and social media. If you would prefer not to appear in any photos, please let us know at the start of your session.
7. Intellectual Property
The recipes, methods, and materials shared during our classes are for your personal use only. They may not be reproduced, taught commercially, or distributed without our written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
Rishikesh Cooking is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to personal property that occurs during a class or retreat, except where caused by our own negligence. Our liability in any case is limited to the amount you paid for the booking in question.
We are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you may incur as a result of a class being cancelled or rescheduled.
9. Conduct
We expect all guests to treat our home, our family, and fellow participants with respect. We reserve the right to ask anyone who behaves in an inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe manner to leave without a refund.
10. Changes to Sessions
We reserve the right to modify the menu, schedule, or activities of a session where necessary (for example, due to seasonal ingredient availability or unforeseen circumstances). We will always notify you in advance and aim to maintain the same quality and value.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India.
